The resonance of the elements, the assertion of a signature

The resonance of the elements, the assertion of a signature

The 569 range embodies a holistic and committed approach, born from deep reflection on the relationship between wood, humanity, and wine. After years of listening to the most demanding winemakers and responding to their requests for total respect of natural cycles, we evolved our very concept of the cooper’s craft toward a global and sensitive approach. 569 translates this search for accuracy and balance.

Time and place as allies…

The distinctiveness of our 569 barrel begins with the maturation method of our oak. The wood lots selected for this range are matured in the open air at our seasoning yard in Marmande, using an ancestral method previously used for wood destined for large vats and casks.

The staves destined for our 569 barrel are stacked in octagonal towers, 3 to 4 meters high. Beyond the Venturi effect which aids in drying the wood, their maximized exposure to rain and sun helps define what will become the unique tannic profile of this barrel.

Thanks to the maturation of this wood and a confidential toasting protocol, the 569 is a racy barrel that brings a singular dimension to the wine, comprised of volume and structure. It offers a presence on the palate marked by length and fleshiness.

On whites, it adds relief, tension, and energy.

On reds, it structures, adds chewiness, and supports the wine in a racy and profound expression.
